Sarracenia Farnhamii

Sarracenia Farnhamii, also known as Farnham’s Pitcher Plant, is a captivating hybrid carnivorous plant known for its vividly coloured and intricately patterned pitchers. This hybrid, resulting from a cross between Sarracenia leucophylla and Sarracenia rubra, boasts upright, medium-height pitchers that are striking in appearance. The pitchers are green at the base, adorned with broad red veins extending up the tubes, and transition to a deep red or maroon as the temperatures drop. The hoods of the pitchers are broad and ruffled, enhancing their ornamental appeal. Sarracenia Farnhamii not only catches the eye with its physical beauty but also serves a practical purpose in attracting and trapping insects.
